It has been announced that Happy-Go-Lucky star Sally Hawkins will appear on the jury for this year’s Bird’s Eye View Film Festival.  Joining Sally on the jury will be filmmaker and writer Xiaolu Guo (She, A Chinese), author and journalist Hannah Pool and Warp Films producer Mary Burke.
The festival showcases features, documentaries and short films made by women around the world.  This year it will include a masterclass with director  Susanne Bier (Brothers, Open Hearts, After The Wedding) and a preview of Lourdes (which won multiple awards for director Jessica Hausner at last year’s Venice Film Festival).  The Birds Eye View Film Festival 2010 will take place 4th-12th March across the ICA, BFI Southbank, Cinema Renoir and Ritzy Picturehouse.  For full details of the many wonderful events taking place visit the website.
